Stretcholt Farm

Stretcholt Farm is a mixed use livestock and arable farm, it is home to both sheep and cattle and along with our partnership with RWG and GW CHILCOTT the production of both wheat and barley for the grain and the straw as bedding and feed.

We also produce Hay and Haylage from both meadow grass and rye grass mix lays for our year round use for all of the animals here on the estate and for other customers nearby. Often we have surplus of both feed and bedding available for horses or for other livestock get in contact for availability:

The farm also has the task of keeping the fields, fences and hedges maintained for the Stud and the Livery yard to ensure the grass is well managed to offer quality grazing.

We pride ourselves on our level of self sustainability with our solar panels on top of the buildings and borehole water for the farm, along with the cycle of growing our own feed and bedding here on the farm which then produces muck from the animals, that then gets spread and ploughed back into the arable grounds and proves as natural fertiliser for soil and crops to then produce the next crop of feed or bedding and thus the cycle starts again. We endeavour to continue the in-house production of our feed and bedding and to keep the sustainability as one of the highlights of the estate.
